CineStill film. Which as the name suggests is cinema film re-purposed for stills, not as easy as it sounds as the remjet layer needs to be removed before development is possible, if not you will make yourself very unpopular with your local lab, and anyone whose film goes through with your own.
See below for a selection of images:
The above images are examples taken from the CineStill Gallery none of the images belong to me however if you click on them you will be transported to their owners website.
From what I can tell, the film comes in to its own, when used in the worst possible conditions, the film can deal with it.
Now I was waiting to place an order of film from a company in Hong Kong (www.DotWellPhoto.com) who have a vast selection of film not availble here in the UK and at a very good price too. However on a training day in London, I spent my lunch break in the Photographers Gallery, first having a wander round the galleries, secondly getting caught in the shop for longer than I should have, I found a lovely selection of films one of which was the CineStill film, which is now stored waiting for me to shoot.
However this was not the only film I brought, and there were many more films I wanted to buy. You will see over the next few months, the results from the films I have picked up.
The first film is, Adox Silvermax and the second again from Adox, Adox Color Implosion.
Excited to finally get to shooting them, but not wanting to waste them, there were so many other films I wanted to buy, I will do another post over the next few days with a digital copy of their catalogue.
