As I said towards the end of last week, I was going to be I lucky enough to be one of the first people who has the opportunity to get their hands on and test the LX100.
So last Friday at work a parcel arrived special delivery via courier from Panasonic, the LX100 was mine for the weekend at least.
Now the camera whilst being a compact isn't quite slip in your trouser pocket (That's the GM series) but for a camera of its specification, quality and build it is impressively small.
The camera is intuitively set out to make it quick and easy to use, with manual aperture and shutter dials there is no awkward pressing of one button whilst twisting a dial to make changes.
One of my favourite features, is the ability to use the front control ring for your zoom, but also to have it change in stops so going from; 24, 28, 35, 50 ect. giving a nice set of common focal lengths to shoot at.
For me I decided to put the camera to the test in a situation I am familiar with and which I would normally use my “Big Camera" for (a gig/concert).
Below are a selection of my favourite images
