Cross-processing!

I had forgotten just how lovely shooting with the Holga can be, around 5 weeks ago, I loaded up a film and shot around half of film on a 6x6 format using this beautiful thing here:

And then the camera got put back on the shelf and the film lay there half shot and forgotten about, this morning, it was bight, it was sunny and we can now develop Black and White film at work so I thought you know what, what a great day to blast through a role of Neopan/Across. Realising I had half a film left, no idea what I had shot and no idea what I was shooting on, I took to the streets of Nottingham before work to finish the film off.

Below are what came from  this roll of film, it was a roll of Velvia cross processed in C-41 chemistry.

The next step for me is to test a new process, well new to me at least in cross-processing C-41 film in E6 chemistry, as when you develop E6 in C41 you get a negative, from what I have read C-41 in E6 will in fact produce a positive/slide image, this slide instead of a bright vivid shift will have a very pastel effect to the colours.

Once this film gets shot and processed I will update a post with how I got on and how best to go about this process and what will get the best results.

But if you want to read about it before that there are lots of topics on Flickr to read through, check them out.
