Shame I need to be inducted first at Derby Uni before I can borrow the cameras.
If this goes well I can see this costing me a fortune in a new camera..(Best get saving :p) The 7D will come first though.
The Shanghai film is new to me but from what I've seen on Flickr so far has made me think the quality is just as high as branded film such as Ilford FP4.
The Velvia 50 is known to be a very high quality so the scans will look fantastic.
All the images will be scanned once I start using the cameras and film.
Any advise for 5x4? Or questions for once I get used it, leave them as a comment or tweet me @PhotoOomph

Surely you could just borrow them from uni? If it's anything like trent then hardly anyone ever takes them out :P You thinking of using them in the studio or outdoors?
ReplyDeleteAs soon as theres a free slot in the studios I'm looking forwards to taking some 10x8 photos of kat. Obviously getting film for 10x8 is a bitch, but you can use 10x8 paper and expose as if it was ISO 3 or something, then contact print.
Ohhh I did find 10x8 film somwhere but paper would be
ReplyDeleteMuch cheaper.
And I'm not sure yet, if I buy one it will be a field or a
Folding one not a studio one.
That I would borrow from the uni, as it is a tad to heavy
To carry around with you :p
