Canon news New 600D 1100D and 2 new

The new 600D seems to be a cross between the 550D and a 60D yet the camera seems to be aimed at entry level and compact camera user due to new features such as a guide mode, creative auto and filter effects. Full Spec from Amateur Photographers website is available here : http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/Canon_EOS_600D_full_specification_news_305489.html and a hands on review by AP can be seen here: http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/Canon_EOS_600D_hands_on_first_impressions_news_305490.html

Whilst the 1100D is a vastly improved and what seems an obvious upgrade from the 1000D it includes the new digic 4 processor and the HD movie sensor.

Features listed from AP at http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/Canon_reveals_EOS_1100D_as_women_flood_market_news_305486.html
"A Feature Guide (also included on the new, higher-end, EOS 600D) is added, to help beginners learn about their cameras as they use it.
The 1100D uses the same 63-zone iFCL metering as the semi-professional EOS 7D model.
Like the 1000D, the newcomer shoots at 3 frames per second.
The EOS 1100D will cost £419 (body only) when it launches in the UK in early April."

The only two things that strike me as odd about this article is the relevance of "women flooding the market" and the idea of selling a entry level/first time camera as a body only camera.

The new flashguns seem to both be quite useful with added features to the smallest flashgun which allows a tilted bounce option and on the new 320ex offers a video light or a constant light for stills photography.
